Jamie Alexander Smith is a jazz pianist, composer and electronic musician based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Over the years Jamie has played in a variety of ensembles, from rock bands and jazz and funk outfits, to brass bands and an orchestra or two. Jamie records freely improvised jazz under his own name, and produces disco-flavoured electronic music under the name Outerattik.

EPs include Clusterphonic (2010), Attic (2012), and -1 (2016). His 2014 recording, Kinesis EP, won favourable review in the jazz press and blogosphere. Jazz Journal gave it four stars, with Bebop Spoken Here calling it “Modern, contemporary … a very listenable solo jazz piano EP.” Nextbop wrote: “He has chops and there are plenty of ambitious runs in here, but the most impressive part of this album is how consistently musical, and musically interesting, the whole thing is.” The opening track, Kinetic, featured on BBC Scotland’s Jazz House.
