Tom Gibbs

Tom Gibbs is a pianist and composer living in Glasgow. Mentored by British greats, John Taylor and Julian Arguelles, his 2012 album ‘Fear of Flying’ (Whirlwind Recordings) was named as one of MOJO magazine’s jazz releases of the year. It features New Yorker Will Vinson on saxophones. The previous year, he was named as one of Jazzwise’s ‘One to look out for in 2011,’ and his 2010 album Forgotten Things (co-led with Euan Burton) was picked as an album of the year by Radio Scotland. He has played around the UK and Europe with Lauren Kinsella’s Thought Fox, the Euan Burton Quartet, the Brian Molley Quartet, Stu Brown’s Twisted Toons. His Scottish band features Adam Jackson, Euan Burton and Doug Hough.
