Brodie’s fine sensitivity to the fibres of music make him as much a grounding force on the bass as an independent voice in any ensemble. His well-contoured play between tension and release puts the music in a constant momentum, drawing the listener closer with every note. Right now, he lives in Glasgow after completing a Masters in Music from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and for a long time has wanted to pay homage to one of his musical heroes, Charlie Haden and his work with the Liberation Music Orchestra. Come and hear a celebration of this music where Brodie is joined by some of Scotland’s finest musicians.
