In an intimate and homely private library in the heart of Haddington, a calendar is becoming ever-more filled with the names of some of the top jazz artists in Scotland. Live jazz music, particularly in small towns like Haddington, has unfortunately become a rare delicacy. Yet, in the small back room of a local restaurant, ‘Jazz at 7’ has emerged to make a change to this saddening new truth.
After 5 successful starter concerts, the venue has decided to continue with a new series of winter concerts. The line-up so far contains;
By June – 26th October (This Friday!)
Mitchell Trio – 10th November
Sophie Bancroft & Tom Lyne – 17th November
The Mitchell Trio will play a range of upbeat swing and Dixie land and Sophie Bancroft & Tom Lyne, returning artists to the venue for the third time, will provide a dynamic interpretation of many classics.
All concerts begin at 8pm and tickets can booked online at www.jazzat7.co.uk or at 07506 527420.
Enjoy a meal in the five star restaurant “Number 7” before making your way through to the live music and table-service bar. The venue is situated within the restaurant on Haddington Market Street (7 Market Street, EH41 3JL). An evening not to be missed!
