Trio Mágico

Trio Mágico – award winning jazz pianist Paul Harrison, bassist Mario Lima Caribe and drummer Stu Brown – play a concert of Brazilian music, adapting the music of one of the country’s most brilliant composers and multi-instrumentalists, Egberto Gismonti, which ranges from melodic, romantic and film-score like, to carnival rhythms that will (literally) move you.

Tommy Smith Youth Jazz Orchestra

Julian Joseph

The 2017 season features a rare Glasgow performance by globally acclaimed virtuoso pianist Julian Joseph. A towering figure in the international jazz scene for over two decades – as composer and arranger, bandleader, educator and broadcaster – Joseph plays solo for Late Night Studio Jazz.

Laura MacDonald Quartet

Saxophonist Laura MacDonald leads a quartet featuring Kevin MacKenzie on guitar, Mario Caribe on bass and Alyn Cosker on drums in an acclaimed celebration of her favourite composer, Cole Porter. The quartet’s playlist is made up of Porter’s most famous tunes, including What Is This Thing Called Love and Love For Sale.
